The last couple of weeks have been a tad bit challenging for me, for various reasons. On one particularly difficult day, I found myself stressed and overwhelmed because of a task that I was trying to complete but the pieces weren’t coming together correctly. I decided to turn on my music and listen to this song:
Lord, I Need You by Matt Maher.
I strongly encourage you to take three minutes and 27 seconds to listen to it, especially if you’re facing difficult circumstances in your life.
Here are the words:
“Lord, I come. I confess. Bowing here, I find my rest. Without You, I fall apart. You’re the One that guides my heart. Lord, I need You. Oh, I need You. Every hour I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh, God, how I need You. Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more. Where grace is found, Is where You are. Where You are, Lord, I am free. Holiness is Christ in me! Lord, I need You. Oh, I need You. Every hour I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh, God, how I need you. So teach my song to rise to You. When temptation comes my way. When I cannot stand, I’ll fall on You. Jesus, You’re my hope and stay. Lord, I need You. Oh, I need You. Every hour, I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh, God, how I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh, God, how I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh, God, how I need You.”Know that God loves you more than you can imagine. He’s there for you, and He cares about everything in your life.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever…..In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:1, 5-6)
Amen.
I love that song, Michelle. He sings it so sweetly, too. Glad to know that even women I consider strong in the faith feel overwhelmed at times, too! 🙂 Appreciate you, Michelle and all you and Trevor stand for.
